Busy Bees Over Here

Canning season is in full swing! It's so overwhelming to have to do it all alone with a toddler hanging off your leg and demanding food and drinks! Phew! I've managed to get a lot done though! Only half way through. We've had a great growing season! The only vegetable that hasn't done well is our bell peppers. We have just started getting flowers and very tiny peppers forming. It's so late into the season that I'm not sure they will fully form. So sad :(

I've had so much on my plate lately. It's one great big balancing act. Owen and I have been sick for 11 days. Our cat, Lily, we just found out has kidney stones. She's on a strict special food diet along with an antibiotic. Been trying to preserve our garden bounties, planning and getting things ready for homeschooling end of September, working, dealing with my parents' divorce, dealing with car troubles while hubby is out of town. I'm grateful for this day because I can just relax and be.

We've had a little bunny in our garden a few times. Silly little thing knows how to climb the fence!

Nothing better!

Paleo oatless oatmeal! Yum!

Cucumbers ready to be turned into pickles!

Canned 24lbs of peaches!

Apples are getting bigger and turning red!

More blackberries for harvesting.

Lots of grapes this year! If I can gather enough my plans are to turn them into wild grape wine!

Cantelopes  are getting huge!

Over abundance of zucchinis this year!

Kirby cucumbers!
